Shipping | Buyer Start

Buyer Secure Shipping (Buyer Created)

In this workflow, the Buyer acts as the initiator. The Buyer inputs all parcel details, selects the shipping carrier, and funds the contract before the Seller is involved. This is ideal when the Buyer wants full control over the shipping selection and insurance costs.

Contract Flow

  • Buyer enters origin/dest addresses, parcel dimensions, and selects a shipping quote.
  • Buyer adds Buyer Protection, pays total amount (Contract + Shipping + Add-ons), and sends link to Seller.
  • Seller accepts by entering wallet address and adds optional Seller Protection add-ons.
  • Seller prints label and ships. Funds release automatically upon carrier delivery.

Payments, Refunds & Processing Fees

We use MoonPay to securely handle all fiat payments and crypto-to-fiat withdrawals. This section explains supported payment methods, typical fees, processing times, and how refunds/off-ramp payouts work.

Fiat Payment Methods (On-Ramp)

On-ramp fees generally average around 2.5% - 4.5%, depending on the method and region. If 4.5% of your transaction amount is less than the minimum fee (typically around $4.50, depending on your currency and region), you will pay the flat minimum fee of $4.50. Processing is usually instant for card and wallet payments.

Refunds & Crypto Off-Ramp (Selling Crypto)

Refunds are handled via MoonPay off-ramp system. Instead of returning your original fiat payment, you sell the crypto you purchased, and MoonPay sends you a payout. If 4.5% of your transaction amount is less than the minimum fee (typically around $4.50, depending on your currency and region), you will pay the flat minimum fee of $4.50.

If Your Payment Method Does Not Support Refunds

If your original purchase method only supports buying (e.g. Apple Pay or Google Pay), We will ask you to choose an alternative payout method such as Visa/Mastercard, bank transfer, PayPal, or Venmo.

Crypto Payment Option (Polygon Network)

You may choose to pay with USDC or USDT on the Polygon network. Network fees are paid in MATIC.

Typical gas fee: ~0.001-0.1 MATIC depending on network activity.
